A Walk in the block

Walking for the first time in the streets of the neighborhood of our studio intervention, was quite a nice experience. Going there with open, wide eyes and excitement to see and look for the beauty and the potential beauty of that site.

 

From the first tour we knew that part of our intention is to bring back the life to a quite less accessible neighborhood that is surprisingly located so close to the heart of the city of Porto, and yet it is still not so lively as it could be.

Quiet streets, few local residents, it is a hard place to walk due to extreme height differences in the topography. But it had beautiful different views to the city from different sides. 

​

We walked around for a few hours sketching and exploring this complicated block. Learning the uniqueness of the area and what makes it interesting.
